Description:
Purpose: The Learning & Development Manager focuses on instructional design and builds programs to support employee and organizational development. This position actively searches, creatively designs, delivers, and implements effective methods to educate and enhance performance across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, or related field required.
- 5+ years of Learning and Development experience required.
- Construction industry experience/exposure required.
- Experience implementing an LMS required.
- Proven work experience as a Training Manager in a corporate setting.
- Experience delivering training with strong presentation skills.
- Track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must exemplify GRiT values of Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Teamwork.
- Self-starter and takes initiative.
- Ability to plan and manage time effectively.Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify and vet vendors to find the most suitable Learning Management System based on organizational needs, user experience, scalability, and cost.
- Develop a detailed project implementation plan, working with IT and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with BambooHR.
- Implement the new Learning Management System, overseeing content creation, course management, reporting, and user training.
- Design and implement structured career paths that align with organizational goals, providing clear career advancement and professional development opportunities for employees.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify talent gaps by tailoring development programs to foster professional growth, ensuring alignment with individual and organizational needs.
- Lead the creation of training materials and delivery of content for corporate standard operating procedures.
- Identify and assess future and current training needs across the organization through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with managers.
- Evaluate modes of training delivery to optimize training effectiveness and training costs.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of L&D Specialist, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for skill development.
- Lead L&D with a focus on results and impact, ensuring the program delivers measurable outcomes that improve employee performance and employee satisfaction leading to organizational success.
- Lead the creation of training manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
- Provide quarterly reports on training program success, analyzing effectiveness, ROI, and areas for continuous improvement.
- Deploy and deliver training using a variety of training methods, i.e., role playing, simulations, team exercise, etc.
- Work with HR team to optimize onboarding program, aligning training objectives to ensure a smooth, effective introduction for new hires.
- Promote a culture of learning and growth, encouraging employees to take ownership of their career development by seeking out learning opportunities.
- Develop and manage annual budget. Analyze and report status of budget on a quarterly basis.
- Attend industry functions to evaluate programs against our peer groups.
- Other duties as assigned.
