We provide comprehensive community-based services that help people thrive while realizing and choosing their goals. We provide opportunities, support and integration within our community. Among the programs and services, we provide are Outpatient Mental Health Centers, Adult and Child Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs, School-Based Therapy, Community Outreach, and Residential Services.
Who We Need: We are currently looking for a full-time Learning and Development Specialist to join our Human Resources Team.
POSITION PURPOSE: The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for the orientation and on-going education of all Key Point employees in addition to the professional development program.

Responsibilities:
- The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for the orientation and ongoing education of all Key Point employees.
- They are responsible for the assessment of training needs, assessment of learning objectives, and assessment of competencies, development of training curriculum and post testing.
- The Learning and Development Specialist is also responsible for the oversight of timely and accurate completion of all documentation related to training including certificates and management of personnel files.
- The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for maintaining active status for the agency with the Board of Social Work.
- The Learning and Development Specialist will seek other CEU sources for the agency to become a certified training provider i.e. CPRP, CFRP, Board of Nursing, etc.
- The Learning and Development Specialist position requires proficiency in CARF, COMAR, OSHA, and local regulations.
- They coordinate all training programs and assign the authority / responsibility of trainers and managers within programs.
- They provide necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, and standardized reports for training classes that require materials.
- They provide and assist departments and the agency as a whole with the selection and contracting of external training programs and consultants.
- The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for the monthly employee of the month newsletter.
- The Learning and Development Specialist, in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources will implement and manage the Professional Development Program.
- The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for maintaining their level of skill by completing the required 20 hours per year of training.
- As an employee, they are expected to abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility and carrying out the mission, philosophy of care, and policies of Key Point.
- The employee abides by the ethics set forth by the agency and the profession.
- They also perform other duties as needed to achieve program goals and objectives.
