Our client is seeking a dynamic Learning and Development Specialist to join their team and support critical training projects. This is a newly created role designed to enhance learning and development initiatives across multiple business portfolios. Responsibilities:

  • Learning & Development: Design and create comprehensive learning materials, including e-modules, job aids, training programs, and more. Facilitate sessions such as engagement surveys, focus groups, and other key learning activities.
  • Content Creation: Use tools like WorkDay (a significant asset), Photoshop, Excel, and PowerPoint to develop high-quality training content.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment and effectiveness of training programs.
  • Project Management: Manage the logistics and execution of training programs, ensuring seamless delivery and a high level of participant engagement.
  • Compliance & Support: Ensure training compliance across North American plants, particularly in manufacturing environments. Support organizational development and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Travel: Expect 15-20% travel within Canada and the USA.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 3-5 years in Learning & Development or Organizational Development, with a preference for experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), E-Learning Authoring Tools (Articulate 360), Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), and WorkDay Learning is highly desirable.
  • Attributes: Strong project management skills, ability to lead and facilitate training sessions, excellent written and verbal communication, and experience in talent management and succession planning.
