JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an opening for a Manager of Organization Development and Learning, and we are looking for someone with demonstrated consultative skills, experience and success in designing and delivering development solutions at the individual, team and organizational levels.
This position supports our Electronic Systems sector and will oversee actions to diagnose, design and deliver solutions that include, but are not limited to, leadership and management development programs and tools, strategic facilitations supporting business leaders, organizational design projects, behavioral assessments (e.g., Hogan, Interaction Styles, True Colors, MBTI) and organizational change support.
This position is a hybrid or remote role, depending on the candidate’s location (must be located close to a major airport).

In this role you will:

  • Consult with business and HR leaders to diagnose performance issues and design solutions to address gaps at the individual, team and organizational levels. Use data to analyze, construct concise executive level presentations and influence senior leaders to champion and partner on improvement initiatives;
  • Create business-focused learning solutions that address management and leadership development needs;
  • Deliver cost-effective, strategic team solutions designed to increase performance, productivity and employee engagement;
  • Stay current on latest research and use strong external networks to benchmark key trends and best practices;
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with business leaders across the enterprise;
  • Serve as the program owner for specified core programs and keep the content current and relevant;
  • Leverage strong consulting, project management, business acumen and communication skills;
  • Support the Electronic Systems sector Vice President, Human Resources with initiatives to help positively progress the culture and ensure an inclusive workplace.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years’ work experience in Leadership Development and OD Solutions;
  • Must have certifications in a variety of personality assessments;
  • Solid track record as program manager and facilitator of enterprise-wide leadership development programs;
  • At least ten years of experience developing talent at the frontline, mid-management and senior levels;
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to create and deliver compelling executive level presentations;
  • Proven experience building successful partnerships with senior executives and key stakeholders in large, diverse, organizations – experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry is a plus;
  • Experience using varied learning methods & delivery models (virtual, in person, etc.);
  • Ability to collaborate and partner successfully with key HR functional partners (e.g., Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Diversity Equity & Inclusion);
  • Experience working with diverse client populations (white collar, blue collar, union, various shifts, etc.);
  • Key insight into leading-edge practices in employee and organization development, with proven experience trying new approaches to raise capability in organizational settings;
  • Willingness to ask questions and learn, ability to interpret data and use it to influence appropriate solutions;
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent follow-through and strong organizational skills;
  • Proven experience creating demand for services based on building trusted relationships and delivering on commitments;
  • Core understanding of learning technologies and how they may be leveraged to further the development agenda;
  • Ability to travel 25-30%.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • Strong client management and relationship building skills;
  • Assessment/diagnosis of individual leadership skills and team functioning, using a variety of methods;
  • Expert training design and outstanding platform delivery, especially for leadership development;
  • Expert strategic meeting design and facilitation;
  • Consulting skills in areas such as organization design, M&A, and change management;
  • Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to positively influence leaders and others.
