The Post
As the Learning and Teaching Administrator you will act as a point of contact for staff, students, visitors, and other key stakeholders. You will deliver a range of tasks relating to the administration of academic programmes and other Faculty activities.
Your application of processes and procedures and use of systems will be efficient, effective and customer focused, and you will ensure compliance with university regulations and, where appropriate, the requirements of external accrediting bodies.
The post is ideally suited to a candidate with a positive attitude, strong organisational and administrative skills, process driven, with communication and collaboration abilities and an interest in supporting the student community.
You will be based within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport as part of the wider Student and Faculty Operations grouping which brings together faculty-based professional services teams and related central services.
You will work closely with colleagues across the Faculty as well as others within central professional services teams including Student Administration, Academic Registry, and Student Support Services.

  • Assist in gathering and compiling data
  • Support the delivery of faculty teaching and examination activities
  • Support committees, working groups and other meetings, as required
  • Monitor student attendance and engagement
  • Assist preparations for internal external quality assurance purposes
  • Assist with a range of financial tasks
  • General office operations
  • Assist with recruitment, conversion, and induction activities
  • Handle confidential information with discretion, adhere to university policies, and maintain high ethical standards in all administrative tasks
  • Ensure module and programme information is accurate across all platforms
  • Maintain good working relationships with key contacts to help improve service levels

  • Educated to a minimum of HNC/HND level, or equivalent professional experience
