Reporting to the Group Head of Learning and Development, the Learning Business Partner is responsible for the delivery of learning and development solutions with a focus on talent programmes, employee lifecycle development, management and leadership development and apprenticeship qualifications across the Bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with HR Business Partnering teams and key stakeholders across the Banking division to identify learning needs through an annual calendar in line with Bank-wide practice
  • Oversee the effective development and delivery of the company induction programme, ensuring material is regularly updated and considers the best method of delivery
  • Lead on Bank-wide management and leadership development with a regular calendar of line manager training, including toolkits, supporting materials and/or advising on leadership and management offsite activities
  • Manage and oversee entry level, talent development and mentoring programmes
  • Partner with D&I teams to manage and support programmes relevant to the D&I strategy
  • Oversee apprenticeship levy funded qualifications, seeking out opportunities to broaden our offering and offer the best learning solution to colleagues
  • Represent Learning and Development on significant business change programmes where required, ensuring learning needs are identified and delivered in line with agreed project plans
  • Proactively measure the continued effectiveness of learning activity to advise on future improvements and demonstrate return on investment
  • Line management responsibility for L&D specialists and L&D Advisor
    Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.
