JOB DESCRIPTION
The Learning Consultant I is primarily responsible for learning solutions for our business partners. This position provides training support and project management to ensure the design, development, and delivery of learning both in-person and online curriculum. The Learning Consultant I addresses the training needs of new and existing employees to include technical skills required to perform their jobs, implementation of new technology and/or upgrades and enhancements as well as new or revised policies and procedures. They will support team strategies in the areas of technical development, new hire on-boarding, and the delivery of surveys to participants for data management and reporting of learning events.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years in a learning & development or similar role; Or equivalent experience of 8+ years. Experience in a financial institution is preferred.
- Group facilitation strategies and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and project management skills: Pulls together information from a variety of sources in a user-friendly, business driven manner
- Training assessment, design, and e-learning experience
- Advanced knowledge of banking products/services, policy, procedures, delivery systems, i.e., deposit products, account maintenance, deposit regulations, and new account procedures, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of Learning Management Systems.
- PC and software skills including spreadsheet, data base, and word processing applications.
- Experience working in a virtual environment with remote teams and customers
- Strong written, verbal, critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to develop reports, policies, and procedures
- Ability to organize multiple activities which require close attention to detail
- Ability to work independently to achieve goals
