BC Place Stadium is recruiting for an ambitious, motivated person to join our People & Culture team as a Learning & Development Advisor for 24 months.
This is an exciting role that requires a mixture of skills in relation to learning and development. The role is varied and will involve delivery, design and management of learning to support our front-line Event staff and Operations team as we continue to host many exciting events. As the face of learning and development at BC Place, you will build positive relationships, promote learning and act in an advisory capacity when it comes to development.
Reporting to the Director, People & Culture & Labour Relations, the Learning & Development Advisor is a Hands-on Learning and Development Professional, who will play a crucial role in developing and implementing and delivering training programs for our Team Members. The priority will be on enhancing service delivery, operational efficiency and leading within the stadium environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and determine the learning needs of the organization to ensure the L&D function aligns with the goals of BC Place.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a training plan for the Stadium.
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions for new and existing team members on service excellence, orientation, protocols, and operational procedures ensuring retention of key knowledge and skills throughout the organization
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages team engagement and development.
  • Practice employing techniques for engaging learners.
  • Provide hands-on facilitation and support during events to ensure staff are equipped to deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Source external partners where appropriate.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, providing feedback and support to leadership and team as needed.
  • Support the roster of part-time facilitators and engagement for delivery of programs.
  • Partner with the broader P & C Team including a dotted line reporting relationship with the Senior Manager of P & C shared services who is accountable for Company wide strategic learning and development strategies.
  • Leverage strategic L & D programs with Shared Services to local stadium.
