Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join our Apprentice team to proactively support the learning of our Apprentices in supporting and advising on their early career development.
We are proud to be one of only 3 Accountancy firms who are an accredited Employer Provider of Apprentices, this role is a unique opportunity and integral part of our Learning and Development team.
You will work closely with our Apprentice team to support our apprentices and their managers to successfully navigate their way through their 3- or 5-year programmes. You will be the main point of contact for a dedicated group of apprentices and apprentice managers and will provide a junior business partnering role to ensure that our apprentices are on track and progressing through their apprenticeship successfully. This role acts as the point of apprentice expertise for the business.
This is an exciting time for the learning team at Bishop Fleming as we are about to introduce our new learning platform to the business which will enable us to design and deliver blended learning programmes to support not only the apprentices but the wider business.
This role would ideally suit someone interested in developing and supporting those in early careers, and who is keen to develop their learning and wider generalist HR skills. The role will involve design and delivery of learning interventions, whilst also providing support, guidance and coaching to apprentices and managers across human resource and apprentice topics.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Supporting, developing and assisting year-1 through to year-5 apprentices. This will involve monitoring and tracking learning portfolios, ensuring high quality evidence of apprentices developing new skills, knowledge and behaviours as they progress through their apprenticeship and providing recommendations to ensure appropriate action as a result.
  • Answering queries from apprentices and apprentice managers about the apprenticeship, employment procedures and policies, benefits and any other HR-related topics.
  • Working in collaboration with the Curriculum team to plan, deliver and project manage bespoke support, training and development initiatives including both the design and implementation of virtual, face-to-face and digital learning.
  • Monitoring quality metrics, in line with the apprenticeship standards and including but not limited to achievement rates, end point assessments and equality information so these are in line with internal KPIs.
  • Assisting managers with basic employee relation issues and providing coaching where relevant. Supporting apprentice managers so they understand and are supported to fulfil the expectations of their role in developing the performance and learning of apprentices.
  • Assisting HR People Partners and participating in investigations as required Conducting exit-interviews and analysing and reporting feedback.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to share and develop best practice, documenting and monitoring the programme reporting on relevant metrics.
  • Working closely with external subcontractors to ensure efficiency and performance of programme and consult on improvement where necessary.
  • Chairing meetings both with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting and getting involved with wider learning and HR initiatives and projects with the learning and development manager and HR People Partners.
