Description:
Job Introduction
The post holder is responsible for supporting the delivery of a comprehensive and high-quality programme of learning and development initiatives, including personal development, to ensure high standards of practices and demonstration of the IOPC values and behaviours.
The primary function of this post is to provide an in-house learning, education and advisory service that includes research and development, learning delivery and facilitation, support the development of the organisation’s learning and development quality assurance and evaluation processes and nurturing of IOPC talent.

Main Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification in L&D advisor or equivalent/higher qualification/experience (or be working towards it).
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of learning and development practices, and current theories.
- Knowledge of personal development learning packages.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of developing and delivering, learning to a range of audiences.
- Proven experience of live training delivery
- Experience of planning and co-ordinating learning programmes • Experience of analysing and resolving problems or business issues.
- Experience of facilitating and working with groups to achieve collaborative outcomes.
- Experience of managing a high workload within a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience of effectively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience of Learning & Development in a public sector, or legislative context.
SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills, including oral, written and presentation.
- Ability to write and produce professional and credible documents suitable for internal and external communications.
- Good facilitation skills.
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
- The ability to work in an environment with competing priorities and demands.
- The ability to motivate self.
