DELIVERING GOOD ENERGY STARTS FROM WITHIN

It’s an exciting time to join Origin. Creating a great place to work means together we’re progressing our ambition to lead the energy transition through cleaner energy and customer solutions. We’re always looking for better ways to deliver for our customers – and for our people.

Responsibilities:

We are committed to leading Australia’s energy transition towards net zero emissions and shaping the future energy market. As part of this commitment, we are preparing for the potential retirement of our coal-fired Eraring Power Station (NSW) by mid-2027.

In this role, you will be pivotal in guiding our employees through this transition, focusing on Learning & Development (L&D), reskilling, upskilling, career transitions to enable successful redeployment. You will lead individual conversations to design and implement comprehensive training and career development plans, working closely with onsite employees, leaders, Registered Training Organizations (RTOs) and other external vendors. This is a contracting position. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Career Conversations and Training Plans: Conduct thorough career conversations with employees to design and build personalised career and training plans. Oversee initial and ongoing career conversations, ensuring employees are on track with their development goals.
  • Vendor and RTO Management: Collaborate and manage relationships with external vendors and RTOs to ensure the delivery of high-quality training programs, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • L&D Coordination: Work closely with colleagues to track, record, and report on completion, attendance and individual training needs. Ensure seamless access and communication, enhancing the employee experience.
  • Program Design and Delivery: Design, manage, deliver, and evaluate L&D events, including workshops, roadshows, and career fairs, both online and onsite.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, project, change, administration and communications colleagues to deliver integrated L&D services.
