Description:

HR and Training department’s objective is to advise, support and partner with the business, enabling the Bank to achieve its strategic mission and goals. The department supports all Bank’s departments across front, middle and back office functions. As a Learning and Development Coordinator, you will be responsible to ensure operational effectiveness of the Training function. You will support to embed a positive and continuous learning and career development culture across the Bank through appropriate L&D and talent management solutions. This is a full time permanent role.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly reports and Management Information (MI) from the L&D system for Senior Management review, with interpretation as required
  • Process employee training/professional qualification forms ensuring these are correctly completed and authorised along with processing third party training provider invoices through the Bank’s invoice management system
  • Provide interpretation and guidance to employees of the Bank’s L&D-related policies and processes, including compliance with the Bank’s CPD Policy
  • Fulfil the role of L&D Champion for the HR & Training Department as part of the L&D Champions Network
  • Act as main point of contact for day to day L&D queries from employees and take ownership of issues through to resolution; escalate more complex queries to Training Officer where appropriate
  • Undertake training delivery including hosting the regular New Joiner Induction Day and annual Learning at Work Week
  • Annual bulk registration of employees for Chartered Banker Institute qualifications
  • Organise, attend and maintain minutes as Secretary of the regular L&D Champions Network meetings
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with colleagues within the L&D and wider HR team, L&D Champions Network, and other departments such as General Administration and Financial Management departments
  • Prepare training contracts for professional qualifications and completion awards letters
  • Assist in drafting marketing and communications for L&D initiatives such as Stay Connected, Intuition Know How and Learning at Work Week
  • Ensure training records are maintained and kept up to date at all times and prepare reports regarding completion statistics on a regular basis for remuneration committee
  • Ensure that changes to department learning pathways are recorded and kept up to date at all times

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or other equivalent
  • Broad Banking/financial services experience
  • HR/training qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience in operational/administrator roles
  • Familiarity with functionality of the bank’s LMS (Access) is desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly in the use of MS Excel
  • Good cross-cultural awareness skills
  • Genuine passion for self-development and that of others
