Description:
The Learning & Development Facilitation Specialist for the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) is a full-time , remote employment position reporting to the Learning & Development Training Manager . This key Student Experience Training Team member will be crucial in implementing and facilitating effective employee training programs, including New Hire Orientation and role-specific training for our student-facing teams. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, be extremely adaptable, enthusiastic, passionate about education, and highly organized. This role will have the opportunity to create engaging and impactful learning experiences and utilize innovative instructional methods to enhance the skills and knowledge of our workforce.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Adaptability while maintaining program objectives

- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners at all levels
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies such as Workday, Canvas, and Office 365 applications
- Ability to influence others on change management processes and present ideas in a way that adds value to the business operations
- Needs Analysis/Performance Consulting

- Relationship building with department leaders and building credibility with individual contributors
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or training facilitation in a corporate or higher education setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, Organization Management, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities:
- Learning Program Design: Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyze training needs and create comprehensive learning programs that align with organizational goals and objectives. Example of Work: Develop a new onboarding program for new hires that incorporates interactive workshops, e-learning modules, and assessments to ensure a smooth and productive integration into the company.
- Content Development: Design and produce engaging training materials, including presentations, e-learning courses, job aids, and facilitator guides, that cater to diverse learning styles and promote active participation and learning measurement. Example of Work: Create a series of interactive e-learning modules for a customer service training program, including scenario-based quizzes and real-life simulations.
- Facilitation and Training Delivery: Conduct virtual training sessions dynamically and engagingly, fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring participants comprehend and retain the content and feel confident in their role moving forward. Example of Work: Lead a two-week role-specific program that incorporates company culture (soft skills) with hands-on practice and role-play for processes and procedures.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Implement assessment strategies to measure training programs’ effectiveness and identify improvement areas, gathering feedback from participants and stakeholders. Example of Work: Create a roleplay scorecard that managers can use to assess the effectiveness of role-specific training at the 30/60/90-day benchmarks. Administer pre- and post-training surveys to evaluate the impact of a technical skills training program on the productivity and performance of employees.
- Learning Technology Utilization: Leverage learning management systems (LMS) and other digital tools to deliver, track, and manage training content efficiently. Example of Work: Utilize an LMS to create and deliver a compliance training program, ensuring employees complete the required modules within the stipulated timeframe.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with higher education and learning and development industry trends and best practices, proactively suggesting enhancements to existing programs and proposing innovative learning solutions. Example of Work: Introduce a monthly “Learning Lab” session where employees can explore and experiment with emerging technologies to enhance their professional skills.
