Description:
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Leader, Learning & Development, leads the development and execution of the OneWinpak Learning and Development Strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives, opportunities and challenges. Through the L&D team and collaborating with HRBPs and leaders, the Manager, L&D assesses learning needs and develops, implements and facilitates learning strategies and programs that enable capability and performance. Implement and optimize the EduConnect learning management system (LMS).
EDUCATION
- Relevant university degree in adult learning or psychology or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years in a Learning & Development role
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is an asset

Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with leaders and HRBPs to determine key learning priorities and develop and execute the OneWinpak learning and development strategy.
- Work with the CHRO and HR Council to develop Winpak’s talent strategy and priorities.
- Design, implement and manage a diverse portfolio of learning and development programs including leadership training, technical skills development.
- Create learning materials, resources and tools that support various learning modalities including in-person, virtual and e-learning)
- Evaluate learning program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing feedback, assessments, performance metrics and report findings to leaders and colleagues.
- Collaborate with leaders and HRBPs to develop learning plans that develop top talent and people identified for succession.
- Source and recommend external training programs and consultants when required.
- Track L & D metrics and analyze data to provide insights and continuously improve learning strategies and processes.
- Work closely with the Manager HR Operations to implement and maintain EduConnect LMS
- Ensure Winpak’s L&D practices deliver on our value of diversity inclusiveness and respect, facilitating an environment where everyone can fully participate and succeed and is safe and free from discrimination.
- Manage and mentor a team of L&D professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Manage external vendor relationships and performance.
- Ensures compliance with relevant jurisdictional employment laws.
- Research and recommend applicable government training grants
- Lead companywide projects and initiatives leveraging effective change management methods and relationships with HRBPs.

- Interact with all levels of the operation in support of Winpak’s ongoing registration to ISO 9001-2015, SQF Code, IMS certification, Total Quality Improvement programs and internal standards for operations and quality.
