The Learning & development manager accounts for the overall development, deployment, and evaluation of the Learning & Development agenda in Central Europe covering Leadership & Functional Capabilities (with special focus on Marketing Capability Development) as well as area specific needs. The goal of the Area Learning & Development Manager is to utilize area synergies, build cooperation, common standards and processes that will utilize global solutions and tools to equip our team(s) with the competencies & skills to successfully shape the future of our company.
Reports to: Area Head of Talent Central Europe
Reporting Level: 2-3 direct reports
Geographic Scope: Area - consisting of 10 countries: Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany (Lead market), Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- This role may recruit from Marketing & HR professionals
- Minimum 3 years of experience within the Marketing function (preference for both Trade and Brand experience). Demonstrates the capacity to drive for high performance and sustainable business results, OR
- Minimum 3 years in a HR managerial role with at least 2 years spent in a Marketing business partnering role
- Substantial experiences in designing and evaluating Learning interventions in digital era covering relevant tools and techniques in learning environments
- Enthusiast and authentic ambassador for a growth mindset and life-long learning culture
- Able to operate at ease in English in an international matrix context; FMCG industry experience preferred

Responsibilities:
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Delivers and establishes a learning and development (L&D) strategy to ensure acceleration of top-notch capabilities (functional, leadership & Central Europe area specific capabilities) and advocates for a continuous learning culture
- Partners with the global L&D Teams to achieve full implementation of the Global L&D agenda. In addition, provides feedback to these teams, including appropriateness of programs, changes needed, considerations when designing programs and works to provide local context where necessary
- Constantly engages and collaborates with area and local / functional leadership teams as well as HRBPs to gain understanding of capability gaps to ensure upskilling plans
- Closely collaborates with external learning providers to convey identified needs and gaps to develop most effective interventions
- Delivers seamless roll-out of global and Area developed training initiatives and partners with local HR teams to ensure most successful deployment in the markets
- Regularly reviews and seeks to improve the L&D portfolio and learning experience; ensures best commercial use of substantial L&D Budget
- Effectively leads and manages L&D Team and ensures members are effectively coached and demonstrate growth in their careers
