Description:

Do you have a passion for developing trainee and newly qualified lawyers? If so, that will play a big part in our new Learning & Development Manager role.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, you will be a member of the Learning and Development team.
You’ll take responsibility for our emerging talent programme as well as developing and delivering many other learning and development interventions for Mills and Reeve. The role requires close liaison with many people, in particular the graduate recruitment co-ordinator, professional support lawyers (PSLs), human resources, marketing, national service line leaders, support service heads, regulatory bodies and external providers. This may suit someone with a background in practicing law who is passionate about development

Given the responsibilities of this role, it is likely your background will include experience of:

  • Experience of training and developing others within a fast paced, intellectually rigorous environment (professional service firm experience preferred)
  • Excellent presentation, training and facilitation skills
  • Well-developed personal and project management skills
  • Strong interest and desire to develop self
  • Interested in innovation and new ways to lear
