BDO Ireland is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Learning & Development Specialist to join our team
As an L&D Specialist at BDO Ireland, you will play a crucial role in various L&D activities including onboarding, graduate and experienced hire induction, course creation for both eLearning and in person delivery, and much more. In this role, you will report to the Head of Learning & Development. Within BDO L&D no two days are the same so the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of L&D best practices, and be a self-starter who is motivated to engage in self-directed learning to upskill on the job.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an L&D specialist/generalist role or a similar position.
- Learning & Development/Training qualification would be an advantage but not necessary.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of eLearn authoring tools and training video creation/editing tools.
- Proficiency in LMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask.
- Diary management skills and proactivity.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a dynamic professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, coordinate, and facilitate on our graduate induction programme.
- Facilitate on our new hire induction programme.
- Design and develop interactive and creative eLearning content for soft skills topics.
- In collaboration with SMEs within the firm, develop engaging eLearns for business and compliance related topics.
- Design and deliver in person training to support learning initiatives and programmes.
- Manage the logistics and rollout of in person training programmes.
- Manage our L&D new stater/leaver process.
- Support the L&D co-ordinator with administration tasks when necessary
- Support the Head of L&D with ad hoc project (e.g. create training manuals for new systems/processes)
- Act as a point of contact for employee L&D queries.
- Remain up to date with L&D best practice.
- Ensure ongoing maintenance of the Learning Management System.
- Provide support for L&D firmwide initiatives.
