The Learning and Development Specialist will support the Learning Business Partner with the successful running of a range of learning solutions across the Banking Division. This will include design, delivery and evaluation of learning initiatives, with specific reference to soft skills, management skills, development programmes and regulatory training requirements. The Learning and Development Specialist will play a key role in the promotion of an environment that achieves positive learning outcomes.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE :
- Certification in psychometric assessments.
- Experience of working in a Financial Services industry.
- Experience of project management.
- Experience using Webex, Articulate and other online collaboration tools (e.g. Miro, Jive).

Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, and review training materials for our in-house courses, ensuring they are regularly updated and reflect our L&D branding guidelines.
- Work closely with the L&D specialist team to design, deliver and implement current, relevant learning solutions.
- Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and external providers ensuring the delivery and execution of up to date, relevant learning solutions.
- Optimize the use of the Apprenticeship Levy where appropriate by onboarding apprenticeship providers, ensuring line manager engagement and support for learners.
- Support regulatory training initiatives by collaborating with Compliance and Business Unit subject matter experts where required.
- Actively assess the continued effectiveness of learning activities, reviewing the quality of learning solutions and evaluate return on investment, making and implementing recommendations where appropriate.
- Lead on the delivery of entry-level programmes, including ASPIRE (School Leaver), Graduate and Internship recruitment campaigns with bespoke onboarding, induction and development plans for new intakes.
- Partner with the Diversity & Inclusion team with regards to learning initiatives aligned to our D&I strategy.
- Lead and coordinate on talent development programmes and initiatives in partnership with the Learning Business Partners ensuring ongoing support for our high potential colleagues at all levels.
- Create online training resources and materials to drive a ‘self- service’ approach to meet colleague needs.
