We are looking for a Learning & Development Training Manager who can embrace our ‘Southern Hospitality’ mindset and help us to bring our authentic southern style food and hospitality to the UK. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF A SUCCESSFUL HICKORY’S LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT TRAINING MANAGER:

  • Embody the 5 stars into everything you do as a trainer, coach and role model, innovate ways in which they can be implemented within your job role and coach them across the teams and restaurants.
  • Support the design and delivery of a wide range of Learning and Training projects using your incredible communication skills.
  • To champion all learning, training and wider company initiatives to ensure engagement within our teams.
  • To support, deliver and facilitate the delivery of developmental training for managers and management teams across all of Hickory’s.
  • To drive the success of our manager training programme.
  • To support the management development training through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
  • To champion and grow the ‘Management In-Store Trainer’ programme and support them with further learning and development opportunities.
  • To continuously evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the MIT programme and ensure that it continues to support management development.
  • To provide ad-hoc operational support to restaurants where required.
  • The desire and drive to help others grow and develop.
  • To support the design and facilitation of all our Hickory’s programmes, ensuring each programme’s cohort feels supported throughout their time on the programme and liaise with their line managers throughout.
  • To champion and support the growth of our Hickory’s apprenticeship offering.
  • To help create a coaching culture within Hickory’s with the regional training teams, managers and subject matter experts.
  • To support monthly succession plans, alongside the wider training team identifying and growing individuals within our management teams.
  • To identify learning gaps within Hickory’s and work with the management teams to build and deliver solutions.
  • Build and deliver workshops and training sessions that may be delivered face to face, online or through the Hickory’s Elearning platform.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to help grow and develop our Hickory’s teams to achieve their full potential.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and success of L&D and Training activities.
  • Provide support to the L&D manager and operational training teams.
