Responsibilities:

PART TIME ROLE 22.5 HOURS PER WEEK

We have an exciting opportunity within our Clinical Education Team for an experienced Allied Health Professional or Registered Nurse with a passion for education and the development of our future workforce.
We a looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as part of the Learning Environment team to support a broad range of health and social care students including pre-registration and other learners in practice, across the different services within Berkshire Healthcare, with a specific focus on Allied Health Professionals.
You will act as a link between the Trust and Approved Education Institutions (AEIs), whilst working with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of student experience throughout the Trust.
Berkshire Healthcare has a strong commitment to Quality Improvement, research and audit and you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills within this post.
This is a hybrid role, supporting a blend of in-office and remote working. The post holder must be able to travel to multiple sites regularly based on service need.
This is a part time position of 0.6 WTE negotiable up to 0.8 WTE for the right candidate and we also welcome secondment applications.
Lead on the development, organisation, quality, and governance of practice learning for pre-registration students and other learners (excluding medical students) in placement areas within Berkshire Healthcare.
Complete a review of the current student allocation/mapping process for Allied Healthcare Professional students to align with the current nursing student allocation/mapping process in collaboration with the AHP leads and LEL team.
Develop and deliver Berkshire Healthcare In-House practice assessor and educator training, deliver student Induction sessions, plan and attend recruitment events, devise and deliver student teaching sessions Design and lead on innovative practice development projects which will enhance the learning environment, reporting on outcomes and disseminating results where appropriate.
Support the practice supervisors, assessors and educators by providing best practice advice, coaching and supervision in relation to placements, and lead on quality improvement projects, research and educational activities.

THE “MUST HAVES” FOR THIS ROLE:

Professional healthcare qualification at degree level
Currently registered with a professional body (HCPC/NMC)
Substantial post-qualifying experience in specialist healthcare field with experience in managing teams.
Ability to prepare, deliver and evaluate presentations, write reports and complete audits.
Ability to teach/facilitate learning within both small and larger groups of staff
Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and sustain effective networks
Intermediate information technology skills including email, internet, intranet, Microsoft Office applications.
