Description:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Education or related field
  • Experience as a learning/training manager, project manager, program manager, or engineering manager
  • Experience designing and developing training for engineers or project support teams
  • Experience managing training program budgets
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Project and Outlook) and Asana
  • Flexibility to travel up to 40% across projects in Europe
    Amazon is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support Learning and Development Program initiatives for EU Engineering Services. This role will report to the Snr Learning Program Manager for EU. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who have prior engineering and/or project /program management experience. The Program Manager will be responsible for identifying, creating, and standardizing training programs for a EU organization in cooperation with the global Engineering Services. These programs will build knowledge, maximize individual and team effectiveness, and standardized best practices across all teams. The Program Manager will deep dive customer feedback to continuously improve the program quality and relevance based on the needs of the organization.
    A day in the life
    Every day will be different, you may be facilitating training, sourcing vendors, working as a business partner with one of our teams, creating new training material from scratch, or helping to realize our vision through driving a larger program.
    This role can be based in any EMEA FC/corp location.

Key job responsibilities

  • Evaluate and integrate new training strategies, technologies, courses, products, and analytics as required to meet the training needs of all teams
  • Support on-boarding program for GES New Hires in Europe.
  • Support FC Launch Ops Early Hire and Internal Transfers processes. · Support timely updates, revisions and improvements of existing course syllabi and materials
  • Engage with product vendors and trainer teams to develop tailored training agendas
  • Manage training program budgets, procurement contracts, and licensing records
  • Integrate new product releases and team/trainee feedback into future training content
  • Work directly with leadership to develop strategic training plans and technical certification programs
  • Develop effective “train the trainer” programs and ensure that these facilitators’ knowledge, tools, and mechanisms are current and relevant
  • Develop strategies for and contribute to recruiting activities
  • Travel up to 40% to interact with internal and external business leaders and attend various meetings.
  • Master’s degree Engineering, Business, Education, or related field
  • Experience within a fast-paced construction or field operations environment
  • Experience working with engineering and construction teams to create training content
  • Project Management Certifications (CAPM, PMP, Six Sigma) with good understanding of Project Management methodologies
  • German, French, Polish, Arabic, Turkish are considered preferred qualification
