This is a unique opportunity to join at a pivotal moment for the Library as we embark on the transformation of our services and launch a new strategy. We are looking for inspiring, credible, and authentic managers who, along with their specialist knowledge, are able to create a culture of digital innovation.
We are looking for an outstanding candidate to manage, motivate and direct the Library Learning Spaces team. This team is key to Warwick Library’s student and academic experience, delivering an efficient and effective service in the development and management of Library spaces and buildings to ensure an appropriate and safe learning and research environment for staff and students.
This role creates and champions positive a Health & Safety culture, incorporates a project management aspect in terms of minor works and building projects, focusing on customer needs, and working closely with the wider Customer Services library team.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
You will be an effective staff manager with the ability to lead a team. You will be an excellent communicator, able to work with staff and students at all levels and able to persuade and influence. You will be an excellent planner and organiser, able to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively. You will be a strong negotiator, dealing with outside suppliers and building contractors.
