Description:
The Learning Specialist collaborates with the business to manage the delivery and execution of talent & learning development programs across Seaspan, that create high levels of learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes. Key to this role is ensuring internal client partners are provided with quality programming and training development support to their business. The position works collaboratively with other HR partners to ensure the employee experience as it relates to talent programs is delivered efficiently, with excellence, and with standard methodologies’ top of mind.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end to end program management of multiple, sophisticated learning projects in a cross-functional, fast-paced team environment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver learning solutions by using digital content where possible, and coordinating instructor led training as needed (working alongside HR business partners and leadership development practitioners).
- Serve as a learning point of contact, driving awareness about the programs being offered.
- Manage program priorities and communication with participants, managers, and leadership.
- Act as program manager for any new program launches and handle deadlines associated with program launch.
- Support the development of asynchronous learning that fosters innovative and engaging learning solutions and end user experiences, leveraging e-learning, simulation, gamification, and performance support tools.
- Continuously improve and enhance programs by acquiring and analyzing end-user and collaborator feedback/learning evaluations.
- Research program evaluation strategy in partnership with HR business partners and leadership development practitioners) to generate useful program impact reports.
- Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of learning solutions using HR metrics and insights.
- Vendor management - manage internal faculty and external vendors across multiple development programs, including contract renewals, facilitator certification and materials inventory.
- Collaborating with subject matter experts and cross functional teams to perform needs analyses in support of achieving team or departmental wide objectives.
