The Vacancy
We have an afternoon vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant, to work with a lovely, happy and sociable child with cerebral palsy, who has an EHCP.
The post is part-time, 16.25 per week (12.00 – 15.15) grade 3 salary.
If you are a creative, effective LSA or have a desire to be one, enjoy being part of a vibrant team and can inspire children in their learning and support their physical and emotional needs, then this is the opportunity for you.
The successful candidate will be working within a team to support a specific pupil in the classroom. He is a lovely, bubbly child and requires help with his physical needs due to cerebral palsy. Training will be provided.
We are looking for candidates:
• Who are passionate and enthusiastic about working with children and developing their learning•
With the ability to support children on a 1:1 basis and in smaller or large groups•
Who are keen to work as part of team but also show good initiative•
With good communication skills•
Who are positive and flexible•
Who could have previous experience of working in a primary school and / or working with children, who have a special need or disability.
