Responsibilities:

St Teresa of Kolkata is a Catholic primary school which just opened in January 2024.
Located in Tarneit North, the school has a projected enrolment of 550 students and is a part of the St James the Apostle parish, Hoppers Crossing. We currently have 210 students.
Our enrolment numbers have exceeded our expectations for this year. Due to this growth, we are seeking another enthusiastic, passionate Learning Support Officer who will ensure that every child feels valued and secure in their school environment
This position is currently four days a week from 9am to 3:15pm and there is some flexibility with days.( Student teachers are welcome to apply as we can be flexible around university commitments. We will continue to grow in 2026 so there is potential for further teaching opportunities)
It is essential that applicants have initiative and a joy and passion for what they do. Being a fairly new school, you will need to be willing to help build partnerships with our foundation school community.
Applicants will also require the following:
Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent Early Childhood qualifications/experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of all students
Excellent communication skills
The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Principal, Learning Diversity Leader and classroom teachers to support student learning through individual and small group work both within and outside of the classroom.
