The Opportunity: Learning Systems Apprentice
As an integral part of our workforce, we are seeking talented individuals to join our award-winning apprenticeship scheme and help drive our business forward. The Learning Systems Apprentice role offers a unique opportunity to receive comprehensive on-the-job training and expert support from a leading training provider while pursuing a Level 3 Digital Support Technician Apprenticeship. The program typically spans 13 to 16 months.
We’re looking for a Learning Systems Apprentice to become part of our busy Learning and Development (L&D) Team. This is a full-time position based in our Raunds office in Northamptonshire with some home working and travelling to other Howdens’ sites.
We are looking for people with the following qualities who want to learn new skills in a digital environment:
- 5 x GCSEs (Grade 4 or above) including maths & English
- Organised with good time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work to multiple priorities, delivering results within tight timescales
- Ability to quickly form strong relationships
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Good organisational skills, with ability to focus on detail
- Technically minded, with an interest in learning, systems and design wor
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will have an opportunity to learn multiple aspects of the role within our L&D Department. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Administrating the Academy; completing regular activities including creating events and sessions and managing the catalogue, systems guides, vendors and trainers
- Configurating the Academy; completing regular activities including creating groups, submitting learning assignments, building reports and dashboards, creating evaluations and setting emails
- Designing resources, materials and online courses and videos etc
- Actioning Academy queries and finding solutions to issues raised by system users
- Monitoring L&D mailboxes and responding within set timeframes
- Maintaining personal development to ensure constant evolution of your skills
