Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
To enhance the student experience by working collaboratively with the Learning & Teaching Team and academic teaching staff to provide an excellent customer service.
To provide programme administrative support for the processes and procedures relating to students on School of Education taught programmes. To support School of Education students from first point of contact to graduation. To provide information, advice and front-line support service to prospective, new and continuing School of Education students. To support academic staff and colleagues involved in taught programme teaching administration including the programme and course leaders.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the delivery of an efficient and effective administrative service to support the School’s learning and teaching activity including liaison with key partners both internal and external to the School in the organisation of key resources.
- Maximise customer experience, using knowledge and judgement to provide first-contact resolution for general enquiries relating to learning and teaching activities across the school with minimal supervision.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through identifying and supporting the implementation of process improvements to enhance the student and staff experience.
- Responsible for programme and course administration for the full student journey, including: managing the coordination of all relevant documentation; pre-arrival planning in collaboration with the academic teaching teams; welcoming students through the induction programme; supporting registration and enrolment; and responsible for the on course administration of programmes and courses, including the management of assessments and ensuring student records are maintained on MyCampus.
- To record assessment grades, ensuring all assessment documentation is received from Tutors and Schools for meetings of Boards of Examiners.
- To plan and prioritise workload, anticipating pressure points in the academic year, to ensure that deadlines are met, and an efficient service is provided to staff and students.
- To provide administrative support to Programme and Course Leads in support of School activities and fostering good relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with University-wide policies and procedures in relation to the management of confidential information and personal data.
- As part of the professional services team flexibly support the range of learning and teaching activities of the School as requested by the School Head of Professional Services.
- To undertake any other relevant duties appropriate to the post/grade subsequently allocated by the Head of Professional Services and/or L&T Manager.
