Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
To support the development of online courses and programmes across the College of MVLS, working closely with academics to support their use of learning technologies and update and edit course materials. Providing advice and upskilling support from a digital perspective.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and test online course content that is interactive, engaging and provides a compelling learner experience.
- Provide effective advice on the deployment of key platforms and tools, such as Moodle and Mahara.
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling content, using instructional graphics, web content and media as appropriate.
- Based on user needs, produce guidance, and participate in demonstrations and training provided to academic staff on the use of the digital technologies needed in teaching, learning and assessment.
- Contribute to the design and implement processes to streamline online activity to enable MVLS to develop a consistent and scalable approach to online learning.
- Review and adapt course content post-delivery, to ensure consistency and alignment with our learning design approach and templates.
- Conduct instructional evaluation and analysis on learners and contexts.
- Keep up to date with developments in learning technologies in Higher Education and beyond in order to improve and enhance learning technologies support provision.
