Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for analysis of leases, contracts, title opinions and other legal documentation to determine company ownership, provisions and obligations in these documents and associated wells. The individual independently maintains and updates a group of assigned properties and assists the team in resolving complex issues. Direct training and mentoring provided by Senior Analysts and COE Team and supervision for this position is provided by Manager.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze various documents including leases, contracts and title documentation to summarize company ownership, provisions and obligations
- Under supervision, set up leases and other agreements in Quorum Land System according to department processes and guidelines, using system applications and reports to ensure accuracy, consistency and data integrity
- Subdivide leases per company processes
- Sort, organize, and create files from acquisitions, and/or leasing activity
- Responsible for supporting Sr. Level Analyst in an area by performing lease maintenance, such as linking documents, updating lease extensions, adding recording data, recognizing and tying agreements that relate to one another
- Prepare correspondence when needed, including letters, emails and memos.
- Perform special projects as assigned to support Land Administration Department and company goals
- Assist with monthly rental calendar process
- Other duties as assigned
ROLE-SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Basic understanding of oil and gas; lease forms, contracts, title, types of ownership and conveyance instruments. Solid understanding of mathematics, calculations and analyses to begin gaining the knowledge to calculate mineral interests, working interests, and NRI. Works well as a team member, sharing responsibility for tasks or objectives and communicates routinely with individuals and/or groups to exchange, verify, and coordinate information.
Typical Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Petroleum Management or Business Preferred.
Typical Experience: Minimum of 0-2 years related experience.
Schedule: Hybrid primary remote with the ability to come to the Denver office when needed.
