JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Living Consultant/ Leasing Consultant reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and is exceptional at managing relationships, developing and promoting compelling sales strategies and initiatives that exceed customer expectations, sales and occupancy targets. This role will lead with curiosity, integrity and ambition, setting the highest standards of excellence.
The Senior Living Consultant is a trusted partner and Brand Ambassador by establishing rapport with outstanding emotional intelligence and empathy, resulting in unparalleled resident and family satisfaction. The Dunfield Retirement Residence team is dedicated to managing and promoting our purpose to create exceptional living experiences through design, service and sustainability.

EDUCATION / TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing or a related field
  • 5 years of experience as a sales or marketing representative (or a related occupation) are required; prior experience working for a luxury brand is an asset
  • Proficiency in digital marketing strategies and social media platforms
  • Excellent relationship-building and emotional intelligence is required
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong working knowledge in CRM, Sherpa preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Sales tools such as SalesMail
  • Knowledge of seniors’ industry-related provincial regulations, policies and standards
  • Experience working with older adults preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication

Responsibilities:

Sales and Marketing

  • Leverage The Dunfield’s consultative sales process to increase tours and lease suites, focused on achieving 100% occupancy, employing a relationship focused sales approach
  • Manage the entire sales process from inquiry to tour to creative follow up and events, resulting in high tour to deposit to move-in conversions
  • Manage wait lists and elevate wait relationship with The Dunfield community
  • Community-based outreach programs to promote The Dunfield’s brand within the North Toronto catchment area.
  • Contribute to the cultivation of a dedicated and dynamic team
  • Ensure the effective and efficient operation of all aspects of the sales strategy in accordance with current policies and procedures as set out by Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Maintain quality relationships by providing support, information, and guidance, leading to future qualified referrals.
  • Responsible for proactively managing the sales pipeline, including generating leads, building trust with potential residents and their families
  • Maintain and update lead management software on a daily basis. Accurately record and capture data from our CRM to maintain accurate sales forecasts.
  • Provide in-person and virtual tours to prospective clients.
  • Provide constructive input to the Management Team regarding services to residents and families ensuring that our standards are met and exceeded.
  • Implement and monitor community outreach and partnership opportunities
  • Implement, monitor and achieve budgets and marketing plans
  • Promote and execute marketing plans
  • Provide input on occupancy projections, suite rental rates and increases

Competitive Data

  • Maintain an awareness of industry trends and their impact on the residence
  • Build qualified lead base, ensuring fulsome documentation of daily activities with leads, outreach and community partners
  • Track sales, marketing and outreach data in the CRM database and identify opportunities for growth
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of local competition. i.e. rates, services and amenities, market growth, competition expansion

Promotion / Outreach

  • Increase The Dunfield’s online presence by ensuring up-to-date content of The Dunfield’s website - ensure all images, floor plans, virtual tours, testimonials, COVID pages, etc are current
  • Identify suitable marketing initiatives, community events, and outreach opportunities to increase qualified leads
  • Work closely with our third-party advertising agency on strategic marketing plans and provide input on collateral, marketing, and digital copy.
  • Actively contribute to The Dunfield’s social media platform
  • Ensure that all promotional items meet company standards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM

  • An ability to build, develop and maintain lasting relationships with corporate partners, key business associates, and prospective residents and their substitute decision makers.

Resident / Family Service

  • Provide assistance during the move-in process and continue to liaise with new residents and families to ensure a smooth transition into The Dunfield. referring Move Manager partners to elevate the move-in process
  • Ensure resolution and documentation of any issues related specifically to sales and marketing
  • Ensure that all complaints and issues are directed to the General Manager
