We are searching for a Benefits & Leave Specialist based in our Corporate Office in Newport Beach, CA. The Benefits and Leave Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, EAP, 401(k) plan, and related programs. This role also oversees and administers leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), all California leaves, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), other leaves related to federal, state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans. The role also requires flexibility and adaptability; as Go Rentals grows, so will the requirements of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs such as health, dental, vision, life insurance, wellness programs, and retirement plans.
  • Coordinate and handle all aspects of leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, and other statutory and company-specific leaves.
  • Serve as a primary contact for employees and managers for queries related to benefits and leave, providing exceptional support and guidance.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes affecting benefit and leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to manage benefits enrollment, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
  • Develop and conduct educational programs and communication materials to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Some Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits and leave administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, CFRA, Pregnancy Leave, ADA, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification such as CBP, CEBS, or PHR/SPHR is a plus.
