Lecturer – Construction (Carpentry & Joinery)
Permanent, Full time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £40,170 - £48,357 per annum pro rata (Candidate holding TQFE will commence at £46,310 per annum pro rata)
City of Glasgow College are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual with excellent carpentry & joinery skills to deliver trade related tasks at a variety of levels.
You will use your industry and any previous teaching experience to inspire learners to develop skills, experience and confidence to adopt an appreciation of carpentry & joinery craft skills.
As a professional member of the teaching staff of the College, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of lessons, the teaching of students and carrying out assessment and guidance activity where required.
The ideal candidate will have a Carpentry & Joinery craft qualification from a recognised body at SCQF Level 6, with advanced craft level or above being desirable. Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate learning to individuals with a variety of learning styles.
