Description:

CONTRACT TYPE: PERMANENT

Brunel Medical School is seeking to appoint an experienced medical educator to contribute to the development of the new MBBS programme, with a focus on the delivery, assessment and quality improvement of clinical skills.
BMS is London’s newest Medical School, responsible for the 5-year MBBS undergraduate programme and the 2-year Physician Associate (PA) MSc programme. The first MBBS cohort, currently in Year 3, is expected to graduate in 2027.
The postholder will play a key role in the ongoing development and delivery of the clinical skills programme, which emphasises evidence-informed educational practice, innovative use of technology, and a strong focus on professionalism and patient-centred care. The role will also involve developing and implementing OSCEs across each year of the programme, and preparation for the Clinical Professional Skills Assessment (CPSA) for Year 5.
Reporting to the Lead for Clinical Practice and Skills, the successful applicant will be part of a dynamic and supportive medical education team, contributing broadly to the education programme, with exciting opportunities for professional development.
This post would be ideally suited to a clinician with experience of clinical skills teaching and OSCE assessment, an ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, a passion for education, and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment.
Brunel has a strong track-record of securing research funding from EU and other international sources. Regardless of the long-term future for UK participation in Horizon Europe, Brunel will continue to ensure that staff have access to non-EU research funding, and we will continue to support our many bilateral collaborations within the EU and will remain an active member of YERUN.
The post is based in Uxbridge at the campus of Brunel University, London.
Closing date for applications: Friday 29th November 2024
Interviews will take place on week commencing 9th December 2024
