About us
King’s Academy serves as the Education ‘Think Tank’ for the University focussing both on strategic priorities and in fostering a supportive and progressive academic culture across the College, in partnership with faculties and through our collaborative relationships with staff, students and external partners.
We strive to enhance and develop the potential of all educators who support education - from early-career to experienced faculty and those in leadership roles - through structured professional development, mentorship, and evidence-informed practices.
Interviews are likely to take place week commencing 30th September and we will be in touch to confirm a date.
About the role
Your area of focus will be to work with the Deputy Director in supporting the Academic Education Pathway community, developing a detailed understanding of the roles of education-focussed academics and enhancing education initiatives and education scholarship across the University.
You will also work and contribute to supporting King’s Academy programmes such as the Learning and Teaching Programme, the Graduate Teaching Assistant Development Programme and our King’s Professional Recognition in Teaching and Learning, as well as other core areas of activity.
You will additionally lead and co-deliver central and bespoke workshops for faculties, liaise with key stakeholders on their strategic priorities, and offer advice on areas of teaching and assessment.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to develop in an education development role, and who wish to utilise their skills and expertise in curriculum design, staff development, and evaluating the impact of professional development activities.
We particularly encourage applications from candidates with a STEM background, or experience supporting staff development in these disciplines, as well as those who have experience from within and/or outside of the Higher Education sector where they can demonstrate the skills needed to succeed in this role.
