ABOUT US
We are the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Science (ARES) at Nottingham Trent University. Our business is nature: specifically, the environment, animal health and welfare, ecology and conservation, and agriculture and food production.
Our approach is innovative and inclusive. We feel it makes us that little bit different. It’s our goal to have a positive impact on the planet by improving the well being of environments, animals, plants, and people. If you see that passion in yourself, we can be a new, powerful partner in your career.
For any informal queries about the role or the ARES team, please contact Julia Davies (julia.davies@ntu.ac.uk).
Responsibilities:
Based at the Brackenhurst Campus for the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences, an opportunity has arisen to join an experienced team in the delivery of a suite of exciting food science and technology courses, including apprenticeships and commercial courses for those employed in the food manufacturing industry.
The Brackenhurst campus is located in a 200-hectare estate near the attractive Minster town of Southwell. The University, has recently invested in food laboratories and teaching facilities, and includes food processing equipment.
We are looking to fill the position of Lecturer in Food Technology to prepare and deliver lectures to both undergraduates and apprentices in food technology and food product manufacture to students and apprentices studying at NTU. The post holder will also provide tutorial support to students and lead progress reviews with apprentices and employer mentors.
