This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated lecturer with specialist global health and development interests to join the team at the Institute for Global Health and Development.
The post holder will contribute to the organisation, delivery, and leadership of IGHD MSc programmes as well as to lead research on areas related to health systems and climate change. We are looking for a lecturer with broad expertise and methodological knowledge within global health and development, specifically in health systems and climate change. Experience and a teaching qualification, such as a Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) or Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, is desirable.
The role is in recognition of the recent growth in our MSc programmes in IGHD, including our three on-campus programmes in Global Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, as well as our new online MSc programmes in Global Health, Public Health and Healthcare Management.
As a Lecturer, your responsibilities will focus on supporting the face to face and online MSc programmes in IGHD, including curriculum development, the delivery of modules, student assessment and student support.
The successful candidate will also hold active research or practice interests linked with the Institute’s research themes focused on health systems or psychosocial wellbeing, refugee protection and integration, particularly research topics related to health systems and climate change. You will engage in supervision of doctoral candidates working on issues related to your interests.
