Description:
Lecturer in Introduction to Land Based - The Role:
As a Lecturer in Introduction to Land Based, you will play a pivotal role within our dynamic Land Based Faculty. Working alongside our dedicated team, you’ll inspire and empower students to explore the wonders of Agriculture, Animal Care, Land & Wildlife, and Horticulture. With a focus on practical learning experiences, you’ll guide students through the core curriculum while immersing them in real-world applications of land-based studies.
Lecturer in Introduction to Land Based - Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Excellence: You’ll deliver engaging and practical sessions across a range of Entry level and Level 1 courses. Whether it’s Agriculture, Animal Care, Land & Wildlife, or Horticulture, your expertise will ignite curiosity and passion in our learners.
- Curriculum Development: You’ll prepare schemes of work, design lessons, and create assessment plans. Your commitment to best practices will contribute to the overall quality of education.
- Student Enrichment: Beyond the classroom, you’ll actively participate in student enrichment. This includes supporting pastoral needs, organizing study trips, and collaborating on live projects and external exhibitions.
- Community Engagement: You’ll work closely with the community, fostering partnerships and showcasing the impact of land-based studies. Parents’ evenings, open days, and community events will be part of your journey.
Experience working with SEND and EHCP learners at Entry Level and Level 1 is highly valued, as you’ll be instrumental in providing tailored support to meet the diverse needs of our students. While a background and interest in land-based subjects would be valuable, although not essential - we welcome candidates from all backgrounds who are passionate about making a positive impact in education.
