Description:
Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer (Assistant Professor) / Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Marketing. The successful candidate will join the vibrant Marketing Group within Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS). The advertised position is teaching-and-research focused. You will be expected to contribute to AMBS’s reputation for world-class research, publishing your research in leading international journals, and lead and develop expertise in key areas through both research and engagement.

You will be appointed at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level, depending on experience and standing. The position is permanent, subject to probation at Lecturer level.
We will support you in pursuing exciting and innovative research agendas in the field of marketing. We are particularly eager to hear from applicants with research and/or teaching interests and expertise in one or more of the following areas: advanced quantitative marketing research (e.g. modelling, text analysis); retail marketing; consumer behaviour / behavioural economics (incl. experimental design); digital marketing; business-to-business marketing / marketing strategy.
As members of the Marketing Group, successful applicants will teach on related degree programmes at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels; the Group offers MSc in Marketing and MSc in Digital Marketing programmes and contributes to several other programmes within the School and wider University. The standard model is 40% of time focused on research and scholarship, 40% on teaching, and 20% on service and leadership. New lecturers enjoy a three-year probation period with a reduced teaching load.
