The successful candidates must have the following skills and experience:

  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate or be eligible for registration in New Zealand. If eligible for registration the appointee must gain registration prior to the commencement of the position.
  • Teaching and supervision experience.
  • Master’s degree minimum.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching, a commitment to nursing education and be an active researcher.
  • Clinical nursing experience.
  • Expertise in Pharmacology and health assessment.
  • Commitment to fostering partnership with Ngā iwi Maori.

Our ideal candidate will have a PhD, or currently be undertaking PhD study.

Responsibilities:

This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the department’s excellence in teaching, supervision and provision of an enriching student experience.
You will participate in curriculum development, reviewing and convening of papers and provide clinical supervision.
This position will initiate and contribute to research and participate in the development of evidence-based clinical education and practice in nursing.
