MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master of Public Health (MPH).
- Recent direct clinical or teaching nursing work experience within the previous five years.
- State licensure by the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Meet the SoN requirements stated in Faculty Health Compliance Policy
- Previous simulation experience within the past five years
- Member of a national simulation organization
- If not currently certified, within 18 months, the Campus Lead Faculty will become certified as CHSE (Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator) or CHSOS (Certified Healthcare Simulations Operations Specialist).
- Per California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work from a location outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Simulation management experience
- Simulation certification - CHSE (Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator) or CHSOS (Certified Healthcare Simulations Operations Specialist).

Salary commensurate with degree level and experience. This is a part time, .27 FTE, position which varies from 3 to 4 days per week.
- Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,836 - $6,240 per full-time month
- CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,007 – $12,594 per full-time month
Responsibilities:
The Simulation & Laboratory (S&L) Campus Lead Faculty aids the Associate Director of S&L Operations to coordinate SoN simulation & laboratory activities at their campus. They collaborate with their counterpart at the other campus to ensure all policies are supported, and instructional and administrative procedures are conducted consistently between sites. They manage the S&L as a learning environment which supports student attainment of course competencies.
The faculty in this role is considered an expert in simulation, evidenced, in part, by current membership in at least one of the following professional simulation organizations: Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), or International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation (INACLS). This faculty will hold a Healthcare Simulation Educator Certification within 18 months of hiring to this role.
