COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Exploration of the nature of motor speech disorders in children and adults, including sypmtomatology and etiology. Introduction to evaluation tools, interpretation of results, and intervention techniques. Includes current theories on the nature of these disorders and their treatment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A master’s degree within the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Expertise in working with individuals with acquired or developmental motor speech disorders
• CA SLP State License
• ASHA CCC’s
• Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• A doctorate degree with an emphasis in Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.

SALARY COMMENSURATE WITH DEGREE LEVEL AND EXPERIENCE.

• Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month
• CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,507 - $13,224 per full-time month
