Description:
HSDC is seeking a Lecturer/Teacher of English Literature (A-Level) to ensure outstanding success and progression through the delivery of inspirational teaching, learning and assessment.
About the role
This opportunity will suit someone with a passion for both the subject and for student success. The postholder must be self-motivated and innovative, with the ability to inspire our students.
0.30 FTE (7.5 in class teaching hours)
Salary: Grade 5 £32,510.78 - £42,483.46 (actual salary £9,753.23 - £12,745.04)
Contract type: Temporary Contract until 31/10/2024

Responsibilities:
- Teaching A Level English Literature
- Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
- To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assessment.
- To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
- To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
- To attend parents’ evenings, marketing and promotional events.
