Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The post holder will provide maternity cover for up to 12 months from January 2025 to re-develop, teach, assess and provide feedback on two modules, and cover a range of additional teaching responsibilities across the Division. One module focusses on Infection, Inflammation & Repair, and is taken by 2nd year Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences BSc students. The degree has a strong focus on the clinical applications of exercise and physical activity for the prevention and management of disease, and in injury prevention and management.
The other module is a Research Methods module, which is offered to students on a range of MSc and BSc programmes across the Division of Surgery and Interventional Science.

The holder of this role will primarily focus on leading and delivering the two modules described above, ensuring a high standard of education for undergraduate and postgraduate students within the UCL Connected Curriculum framework. There will be scope to redevelop and improve both modules as part of the post, responding to our Divisional Strategy and student feedback. Other responsibilities will include supporting colleagues in teaching on other modules, small group teaching for general support to students across the programme, personal tutoring and general teaching support and responsibilities.
