Description:
Applications are invited from outstanding, collegiate researchers to be appointed to an academic Lectureship in inorganic chemistry. We welcome applications from candidates with research interests across the breadth of inorganic chemistry, but in particular encourage applicants whose research interests include main group chemistry with the potential to interface to catalysis and materials science.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of high-quality research and publications, be able to show a commitment to the delivery of teaching excellence, and will demonstrate imaginative research plans to establish new programmes of research. The successful candidate will be required to pursue original research in order to deliver internationally leading and rigorous outputs, secure external funding, and carry out teaching, administrative, and other reasonable duties as required at undergraduate and graduate level.
Candidates must hold a doctorate in inorganic chemistry, or appropriate related subject, be able to demonstrate extensive postdoctoral experience in the area, and be motivated with excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
The post will be based in the Chemistry Building, The University of Manchester, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9PL, UK.
The Department of Chemistry is strongly committed to promoting equality and diversity, including the Athena SWAN Charter for gender equality in higher education.
