We provide products and services that include current accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as savings, investments, insurance and wealth management. WPB Wealth Managers provide face to face financial advice to HSBC’s Premier customers. Our customers are primarily Wealth Managers but may also include other internal departments such as Wealth Complaints, Wealth Legal, Wealth Technical Managers and our internal suitability audit teams. The Legacy team provide support mainly on Inheritance Tax and its mitigation (including the use of insurance-based products) but also covers Trustee Advice, Wills, estate and trust administration and mental capacity issues.
As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you will:

  • Provide support to Wealth Managers, using your specialist capabilities to make the complicated simple.
  • Enhance the technical Legacy knowledge of HSBC’s Wealth Managers, leading to improved holistic advice and even better customer outcomes.
  • Protect customers by supporting right first-time advice.
  • Provide support for Technical Consultancy colleagues and other Wealth Specialist teams.
  • Provide support to other departments, facilitating effective business decisions and helping them to deal effectively with complex Legacy issues.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must hold the STEP certificate from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
  • Previous experience in trusts or legacy and estate planning is crucial.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary, along with a high level of written English. The ability to explain complex technical information clearly to different audiences is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills to solve difficult problems and deliver precise solutions.
  • Good team player with ability to build trust. Must be comfortable interacting effectively with colleagues at all levels.
