We are looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team!
In this role, the focus of this position will be to provide administrative assistance to members of the Gas Distribution and Storage Law Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide lead administrative support for litigation, employment and regulatory law matters managed by the Gas Distribution and Storage (GDS) legal team
  • Communicate and work with all members of the Law Department and extended Enbridge team by taking a team approach to problems and their solutions. Exercise a high degree of discretion, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external contacts and protecting from disclosure highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Maintain applicable document management and e-billing system (currently through Team Connect) and liaise with internal and external counsel on file management, budgets and billing in accordance with internal policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and maintain GDS litigation reporting processes, including quarterly legal audit and financial reporting requests and monthly internal reporting
  • Prepare legal documents to enforce writs of execution and assist with preparing, filing and serving court documents related to various litigation matters. Maintain precedents in online system
  • Prepare and administer releases and settlements for litigation and sundry matters through to execution, payment and filing
  • Conduct online legal name and entity searches for corporations, partnerships and other entities for small claims matters and maintain recoveries tracking and reporting
  • Provide general word processing, Excel and related administrative support by drafting, proofreading, and revising legal documentation, correspondence, standard form agreements, presentations and other documents
  • Organize, schedule and coordinate meetings (in person and virtual), appointments, travel arrangements, and various other functions, including maintaining calendars
