About The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Administrator to join our team! As a key member of our Legal Department, you’ll be responsible for providing administrative support and coordination for contracts and legal matters. You’ll work closely with our General Counsel to manage, develop, and prepare contracts, while also engaging with internal and external stakeholders as needed. This role is a 14-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave. This role offers flexibility in a hybrid working model with the option to be based in Melbourne or Sydney.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to our General Counsel
  • Review, summarize, and cross check documents and contracts with precision
  • Develop and maintain contract management documentation and procedures
  • Assist with editing and drafting various agreements
  • Manage contract execution, both internally and externally
  • Oversee corporate housekeeping tasks, including tracking registers and filing documents
  • Coordinate digital communication and filing systems
  • Track external legal costs and ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Develop and maintain contract template suites and various clause banks
  • Conduct preliminary research on assigned topics, including legislation and regulatory changes
  • Contribute to the legal department’s performance and compliance with contracts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and take on additional duties as needed
