REQUIREMENTS:

• LLB Degree (admitted attorney);
• 2 years post apprenticeship clerkship experience;
• Thorough knowledge of: Civil litigation and general litigation;
• Good experience of Supreme Court collections will serve as an incentive;
• Thorough knowledge of: The Credit Act, Contract Law, Company Law, POPI act and knowledge of Magistrate Court and High Court procedures are a strong recommendation;
• Valid driver’s license.

SKILLS:

• Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans;
• Good computer skills (MS Office);
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills;
• High level of communication and negotiation skills;
• Ability to function within a team;
• High level of integrity and ethical values.

Responsibilities:

• Collection of Debtors;
• General handling of legal inquiries;
• Preparation and delivery of specialized legal opinions, the necessary experience to be able to drive the civil process from consultation to settlement of a case in cooperation with OVK’s panel lawyers;
• Collection of Debtors and keeping up with administration.
