Position: Legal Analyst
Location: Zuchwil, Switzerland
Role: Full-time, Permanent

Main purpose:

  • Assists with case preparation and other matters related to commercial litigation and regulatory processes, including discovery and management of case documents, and provides assistance to outside counsel.
  • Provides support for the legal department and handles communication with corporate clients.
  • Develops and oversees maintenance of document and data management systems within the legal department, and organizes both hard copy and electronic files.
  • Assists in creating and streamlining legal department processes for managing workflow and tracking engagements in order to improve efficiency by acting as a catalyst for productivity.
  • Works closely with legal, executive, sales, and other business teams on document and contract reviews and approvals, compliance procedures, and overall contract management process.
  • Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes and responsibilities.
  • Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in law, preferably from a Swiss university.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience drafting and managing commercial contracts, reviewing and executing legal documentation, preparing and filing documents, legal research, and billing and invoicing expenses.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in project management, are organizationally strong, can set priorities, and work with deadlines.
  • You are team-oriented, good at multitasking, and customer-oriented.
  • You are enterprising, effective, and have an eye for detail.
  • You have strong communication skills. • You speak and write English and German fluently.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (mainly Word and Excel) and are passionate about exploring new digital tools.

Main Responsibilities Specific support within the law department such as:
1. Drafting and revising standard legal templates and amendments, timely executions, and renewal.
2. Handling product liability documents and liaising with the complaint handling unit.
3. Managing contract filings and handling record retention and confidential documents.
4. Review requests from the regulatory team, prepare the needed documents, and gather signatures.
5. Managing and coordinating notarization of documents with Public Notaries, State Chancellery, and foreign Embassies. 6. Managing the Power of Attorneys and maintaining corporate housekeeping for our Swiss J&J affiliates.
7. Communicating with outside external stakeholders within specific matters.
8. Communicating with internal business partners at all levels on confidential and sensitive matters.
9. Providing general support for our legal team in specific legal projects.
General administrative support such as:
1. Taking care of billing/invoices related to the law department.
2. Preparing electronic expense reimbursement requests and submitting invoices for payment within the system.
3. Handling outgoing mail and preparing Fed Ex/UPS labels for mailings.
4. Reading, prioritizing, and routing incoming communications and correspondence.
5. Maintaining and ordering office supplies for the law department.
