Description:

Forseven, a revolutionary company is looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, are seeking a Legal and Compliance assistant to join our highly skilled and dynamic Legal.
The role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of our office in Leamington Spa, Warwick where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a scale-up, The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to implement a global compliance framework for Forseven. Key responsibilities include updating the company’s compliance handbooks in line with new regulations, assisting in the development and monitoring of compliance audit and training materials, and proactively identifying legal and regulatory risks through innovative approaches.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Identify Applicable Laws and Regulations - Conduct thorough reviews of relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements. Liaise with external legal and compliance advisers in key jurisdictions.
  • Regulatory and Legal Alerts -Create and manage a database that alerts the organization to regulatory and legal changes, including product liability, environmental regulations, health and safety, employment, data protection, and ESG regulations.
  • Jurisdictional Awareness - Raise awareness of jurisdictional differences across all markets. Identify and document specific industry regulations applicable to each market, maintaining this knowledge in a centralized database.
  • Legal Risk Register Management - Collaborate with the Risk & Governance Manager and other stakeholders to develop and maintain a register of risks arising from laws and regulations.
  • Document and Communicate Legal Requirements -Document and regularly update key details of applicable laws and regulations, including relevant provisions, deadlines, and enforcement agencies. Ensure accurate and up-to-date communication to stakeholders.
  • Compliance Integration -Integrate the legal risk register within compliance management processes. Ensure accessibility and relevance of the legal register for decision-making across the organization.
  • Training and Awareness-Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees understand their legal and regulatory obligations. Utilize the legal risk register to educate employees on compliance requirements.
  • Audit and Review-Conduct regular audits of the legal register to verify accuracy and completeness. Address gaps or inconsistencies and use audit findings to improve compliance processes. Liaise with external auditors as needed
